Training to be provided:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
The Business Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:
- Answering phones to customers and directing to the correct people
- Data Input – updating sage and other databases on daily bases
- Ordering materials to project engineer requirements
- Adhoc office duties (making signs / notices)
- Updating the subcontractor training matrix and chasing for updated certificates and insurances
- Social Media accounts need updating – knowledge of social media helpful, and a project to be taken on
- Calculating costs of materials to update job costings
- Keeping track and ordering PPE / Stationery
- Taking card payments
- Streamlining current processes

There is the potential for a full-time permanent position to be offered to the suitable and successful candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Essential Criteria:
It is essential that the Business Administrator Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:
- GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C/4 or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to travel reliably to the workplace, as the location can be challenging to access during peak traffic times. Candidates should therefore live within a reasonable commuting distance
- Must be aged 18 or over due to health and safety requirements
- A motivated and enthusiastic approach, with a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and a professional manner
