This role involves working with a small team, learning a range of techniques in a workshop environment.
Training to be provided:
As a Workshop Operative Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Tillys Interiors, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
Your apprenticeship programme includes working towards a Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations.
Overall duration 15 months.

Your main responsibilities on the job will be:
- Read and interpret job sheets and technical drawings accurately
- Measure and check parts, reporting any discrepancies
- Apply specialist antique finishes using various manual techniques
- Cut, shape, bend, and polish metal using hand tools and light machinery
- Assemble and disassemble components to precise specifications
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow workshop procedures
- Track stock usage, report issues, and meet production targets consistently
