About The Role

PETA have been established for over 50 years and have experienced continued success from our valued customer base. Following continued success and growth, we are now looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team. This role will be based at our prestigious training facility in Cosham but will require occasional travel to our Havant site.  

This is a part time position working 22.5 hours per week, which will be worked across our sites in both Cosham and Havant with a working pattern to be agreed during the recruitment process. The working pattern will be expected to be achieved during our core business hours (8:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday).  

As a HR Business Partner, you will take responsibility for delivering and overseeing the Human Resources function for PETA.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

    • Provide support and advice to all employees and managers across PETA in HR matters, referring back to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team when necessary 
    • Developing managers to deliver an excellent experience for all our employees 
    • Create, review, and amend HR-related policies and processes in response to legislative changes, informing managers and senior leadership of these changes  
    • Administer Human Resource activities, including maintaining personnel records, monitoring holidays, sickness, and absence, managing sick pay and maternity/paternity records, delivering staff HR induction, maintaining staff registers, and handling correspondence for various HR-related matters 
    • Maintain and manage the Single Central Register (SCR) for the organisation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and guidelines.  
    • Maintain and manage the sponsor license on behalf of PETA Ltd, ensuring compliance with UKVI requirements. 
    • Administer training activities, including maintaining training records, handling training requests, and managing the training register

What will I need to succeed?  

To be considered for the role of HR Business Partner, it is essential that you have a proven track record of working in a similar role, it would be advantageous that you also hold a CIPD qualification or equivalent.  

You will be required to work in a fast-paced role where priorities regularly change so adaptability will be key to your success.  

You will also have:  

    • Familiarity with HR activities, including maintaining personnel records and managing HR policies 
    • Strong organisational and multitasking skills 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
    • Proficiency in using office software and technology 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information 
    • Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy 
    • Knowledge of relevant legal and legislative requirements related to HR
