PETA are now looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Curriculum Design Coordinator to be based at our Havant Engineering Training Centre. For this position, we would consider both part-time (minimum of 3 days per week) and full-time applicants.
Your new role
As PETA’s Engineering Curriculum Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing our suite of engineering apprenticeships to update, enhance and streamline them in line with IFATE (Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education) and standard guidelines. This will involve:
- Working closely with our instructors to establish current teaching methods
- Coordinating with the examination bodies to understand the full requirements of the standards and ensure these are implemented in to our curriculum
- Re-designing our course delivery (classroom taught and digital (eLearning) courses)
- Producing and managing the centres teaching timetable and resource allocation
- Supporting the team with the roll out of new programmes

Our ideal Engineering Curriculum Design Coordinator will have a detailed knowledge of engineering apprenticeship standards. We currently deliver:
Level 3 - Engineering Fitter, Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician, Engineering Technician (Technical Support), Machining Technician
Level 2 - Engineering Operative
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to establish excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also require:
- Great IT skills
- Ability to review data and streamline processes
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design principles and educational best practices
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead curriculum design initiatives
