Training to be provided:
As an IT Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Objectives Technology team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.
About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our small to medium sized businesses to provide managed IT services, cloud services, backup/disaster recovery, consultancy and support. Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, your day-to-day duties will see you:
- Setup and configuration of laptops, desktops, mobiles and tablets
- Carry out diagnostic checks / fault finding
- Installing new hardware and software
- Carry out hardware upgrades
- Dealing with 1st level customer hardware issues
- Accurately log time and notes in the Helpdesk System
- Learning how to provide technical support using remote management software
- Updating and maintaining customer asset registers
Essential Skills:
- Good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to multi-task
- Good problem solving approach
- GCSE English and maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
