Training to be provided:
As an IT Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Solent Laptops team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.
About the role:
You will be responsible for working with and aiding our current IT Technicians in their everyday work, building knowledge of our business and the way we do things, leading towards taking on regular day to day workloads and contributing to our daily tasks quota.
Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, your day to day duties will involve:
- Organising Stock / Goods In
- Troubleshooting, Software Installation and repair of mainly laptops, sometimes desktops and tablets
- Ensuring the correct memory configuration & Hard Drive is installed
- Running a full PC Check using a PC Installing & Testing Software
- Quality check of all goods before dispatch
- Unpackaging & Repackaging of items for dispatch
- Remote IT Support to company’s clients
