PETA are proud to be recruiting for the Apprentice Internal Sales Administrator position at Tricel Portsmouth Limited, the apprentice will work alongside the sales team and assist in building and maintaining an active customer base with a quick turnaround of quotations and support.
Training to be provided:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
The Apprentice Internal Sales Administrator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Learn the company procedures and processes alongside experienced staff
- Maintain the highest levels of customer service
- Gain knowledge, skills and experience throughout their apprenticeship
- Learn about the industry and best practices
- Liaise with members of the Sales Team to gain customer and product knowledge
- Liaise with members of other internal teams (Service, Order Processing, Accounts, Stores) to ensure a smooth process for the customer from enquiring to paying the invoice
- Use your own initiative to make profits, selling stock products where applicable
- To work within the pricing and discount policy of the Company and within any discount or margin guidance laid down by the Managing Director and supplier
- Provide regular feedback to the Sales Team Leader
- Updating company databases as required
- Delivering upon customer requests in a timely manner. Answering incoming phones & taking accurate details

Essential Skills:
It is essential that the Apprentice Internal Sales Administrator has the following skills and personal qualities:
- Personal drive and highly self-motivated
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to communicate well at all levels
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good numeracy skills and understanding of profit / margins
- Good problem-solving approach to customers as well as excellent negotiation skills
- Technical aptitude is an advantage, but training will be provided
- GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required
