Training to be provided:
As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Medhurst team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.
About the role:
What will my new role involve? Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, you will learn:
- How to provide IT support on both hardware and software including desktop PCs, mobile devices, audio visual and networking equipment
- How to maintain and troubleshoot IT equipment
- How to identify and resolve technical problems
Could this be the ideal role for me? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Support Apprentice with a genuine interest in IT. The Medhurst team have a strong commitment to customer service so the successful applicant must be willing to go the extra mile for their clients.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Knowledge of PC and Laptop hardware, software and basic network troubleshooting
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Ability of problem solving in a logical way
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
- English and maths GCSE (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Basic understanding of Networking Concepts
- BTEC L3 in IT or equivalent will be beneficial
- Driving license
Info:
- 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8:00 - 16:30 (1h lunch)
- Salary will start at £15,000 for the first year and then rise to minimum wage based of age for the remainder of the apprenticeship
