Which apprenticeship did you undertake/are you completing?
I previously under took a Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 which I completed in 2025, now I have enrolled onto the Leadership & Management Level 3 Course.
What led you to start your apprenticeship?
I was driven to undertake the Business Administration qualification as a strategic step toward gaining a overall understanding of business operations.
Although I had prior experience in sales positions, I recognised the need of broadening my perspective for career development. The apprenticeship provided an invaluable framework for understanding how different departments within an organisation communicate, collaborate, and integrate their efforts.
Please tell us your current job title and what a typical day for you would involve?
As the Brand Manager at Mipa Paints, I am responsible for driving all marketing initiatives. My duties span the entire marketing lifecycle, from designing and implementing the UK marketing strategy to hands-on execution of email campaigns, social media content, and corporate events. I focus daily on strategic planning and rigorous project management to ensure marketing goals are met on schedule.
How was/is your apprenticeship experience?
My experience as an apprentice was fantastic. I strongly believe that apprenticeships offer tremendous potential for individuals, primarily through the invaluable on the job practical learning they provide. The broadness and depth of this training mean that once you have completed your apprenticeship, you become highly attractive in the job market. Undertaking my apprenticeship has truly opened so many doors for me.
What do you enjoy most about doing an apprenticeship?
For me, I really enjoyed the ability to learn about all aspects of business. From Business Legislation & Project Management to Business Finance. I feel that gaining a better understanding, I am now able to better communicate with other departments within my business and better understand the benefits & complications of each action taken for all departments within a company
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, my goal is to always be developing & I wish to expand my professional influence. I aim to achieve this by managing a large team and becoming a key individual who directly shapes the business's direction. Ultimately, I want to ensure my role creates a significant difference and a positive, lasting impact on the organisation.
Piece of advice you would give someone thinking of doing an apprenticeship.
I would advise anyone who is thinking about undertaking an apprenticeship to 'Just go for it' Although it may seem daunting at first, you have a wonderful team at PETA who are there to guide you along the journey. After all, what do you have to lose? After completing the course you will become a valuable skilled individual within your business.
How has an apprenticeship helped you progress within your role and company?
After undertaking my apprenticeship, I have been able to build upon the foundations of business which I have already acquired. From undertaking an apprenticeship, I have proven to myself and the business that I am able to undertake various different projects and have now been given a team to manage.
