The successful applicant will undertake a L3 Information Communication Technician: Technical Support apprenticeship. This apprenticeship not only provides an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge but also opens doors to various progression opportunities within our organisation. The starting wage will depend on your experience.
Training to be provided:
As an IT Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Netserve team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.
About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, your day to day duties will involve:
- Solving IT problems and provide fantastic customer service
- Assisting senior technicians with troubleshooting challenging issues
- Working on infrastructure projects to learn aspects of networking
- Collaborating with other IT technicians on a daily basis
- Conducting network troubleshooting and diagnostic activities
- Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of IT security measures
- Performing routine network and server maintenance tasks, such as updates and patching
Essential Skills:
- A passion for IT
- Self-motivated with a keen desire to learn
- Strong customer service skills
- Being a driver is key to the position
- GCSE English and maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a service-based role
- Knowledge of Microsoft products like Windows, 365, Azure
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, gather information, and provide solutions for a diverse range of technical problems
